Hi Everyone:
Each one of you will be responsible for outlining what was covered in class each week and what you think your fellow students need to know. You can also comment or reflect on the class or just remark on something you found interesting. It would probably help to remind people of upcoming assignments.
The deadline for your blog posting will be by noon the day after the class.
On Thursday, Jan. 21, we discussed why grammar and style rules matter as they are the road signs that help make writing clear and comprehensible. We went over some exercises in class. It might be good to review the "Tips on AP Style" that appear in Chapter 3 of the textbook.
For Monday, we will have a short news quiz. Read the front section of the The Washington Post or listen to the radio or TV news. We will discuss Chapter 4 and do some more writing in class.

Just to check in, but we (the class) are still assigned to do Exercise 3.5 from the Stovall book, correct?
